Ice Bridge Transition Event

Llantwit Major School recently invited year 5 pupils from Eagleswell, Llanilltud Fawr, Rhws, St Athan, St Illtyd and Wick & Marcross Primary schools to take part in the construction of a 15m long, model cable-stayed bridge (the same design as the Second Severn Crossing), under the expert supervision and guidance of representatives from the Institution of Civil Engineers.

This proved to be a great team building activity and pupils took pride in their efforts when they all safely walked across the bridges they had built.
