A little more about the department
The department consists of ten experienced members of staff.
We are:

We are an enthusiastic and energetic department who want you to enjoy studying English whilst whilst achieving your personal goals.
In support of the school's mission statement, we are a department for the the 21st century at the heart of the community. In our study of English we will explore a range of themes and topics that are current and appropriate to you. All English lessons are conducted in the upstairs corridor of M block alongside Modern Foreign Languages (Welsh and French).
We are constantly ensuring that there are a wide range of opportunities available that enable you to learn more about our subject whilst also having fun, including the use of ICT in our studies.
During the year students of all ages have a number of opportunities to get involved in extra curricular activities such as; World Book Day (you may find your English teacher has been replaced with Alice in Wonderland or Mary Poppins when you arrive to lesson!) BBC School Report, theatre trips, book clubs and many more!
